Sukhu Government Running on Central Support: Jairam Thakur

Shimla, 09 September 2024: Opposition Leader Jairam Thakur criticized the Sukhu government’s financial management, blaming it for the state’s poor economic condition. He pointed out that despite receiving a 1500 crore interest-free loan from the central government, the state continues to burden its people by raising taxes and increasing the costs of essential commodities. Thakur also highlighted the government’s extravagant spending on advisors and CPS appointments while neglecting revenue generation. He expressed concern over the growing debt, comparing it to the state’s overall financial burden.
