Sukhu Government Focuses on By-Elections, Not Development: Pawan Kajal

Pawan Kajal, the co-convener of the Dehra Assembly by-election and MLA from Kangra, has criticized the Sukhu-led Congress government for prioritizing by-elections over development. Kajal lamented that since the Congress government took power, it has only pleaded for funds, claiming that the treasury is empty and lacking resources for development projects.

Kajal praised the previous Jairam government for its achievements and accused Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of making empty promises. He alleged that the Sukhu government is more interested in conducting by-elections than in fostering development, suggesting that the three by-elections could have been held alongside the Lok Sabha elections but were postponed due to fear of losing. This delay has now burdened the public with additional election expenses.

Attacking Sukhu over the Himachal Medical College in Hamirpur, Kajal claimed that Sukhu has been misleading the public since March 1, 2014. He also accused Sukhu of deploying the entire government machinery to secure his wife’s victory in Dehra but insisted that the people of Dehra stand with the truth, not with the Sukhu family.
