Sukhu Government Engulfed in Corruption Scandals: Jairam

1 min read

Dehra: Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has accused the Sukhu government of rampant corruption, citing multiple scandals, including a ₹7 crore Marketing Board tender mishandling and an HRTC land purchase at inflated prices. Thakur criticized the government’s failure to initiate developmental projects while being embroiled in these corrupt activities.

Highlighting the deteriorating law and order in the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh (BBN) area, Thakur pointed out the rise in mafia activities and shootings, accusing the administration of focusing on harassing BJP leaders instead of maintaining public safety.

Thakur also took a personal dig at CM Sukhu, alleging neglect towards his in-laws’ area by shutting down local schools and hospitals. He contrasted this with his tenure’s achievements, mentioning ₹600 crore worth of development in Dehra and halted projects like the Nand Nala Bridge due to political motives.

Addressing public meetings in various locations, Thakur expressed confidence in BJP candidate Hoshiyar Singh’s victory, attributing it to strong public support and Singh’s commitment to local development.
