Sukhu Government Accused of Withdrawing Public Benefits: BJP’s Jamwal

1 min read

Mandi: BJP’s chief spokesperson and Sundernagar MLA, Rakesh Jamwal, has accused the Sukhu government of withdrawing public benefits, claiming the decision to halt the 125-unit electricity subsidy is self-serving. Jamwal criticized the government for closing over 1000 public welfare institutions and gradually taking away benefits provided by the previous Jairam government. He labeled Chief Minister Sukhu as insensitive and accused him of prioritizing personal gains over public welfare.

Jamwal stated that the Sukhu government, which promised 300 units of free electricity, has now taken back even the existing 125 units. He also expressed concerns about the potential discontinuation of the Himcare scheme, which was recently resumed before the elections. Jamwal warned that the people of Himachal Pradesh will witness more anti-people decisions and announced that the BJP will launch a strong protest against the government’s authoritarian approach.
