Warns of Black Flag Protest in Dharamshala
Dharamshala, August 5:
Senior BJP leader and MLA Sudhir Sharma has once again criticized Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, accusing him of neglecting the Central University (CU) project in Dharamshala while favoring his home constituency Dehra. Sharma questioned the CM’s priorities, highlighting that Sukhu recently allocated ₹19 crore for Dehra’s water supply but has failed to release ₹30 crore needed for CU’s North Campus in Dharamshala.
Calling Sukhu the “Chief Minister of Dehra, not Himachal,” Sharma warned that Dharamshala’s public would greet him with black flags in future visits. He alleged that Sukhu’s focus on making Dehra a district would cost thousands of crores, threatening Kangra’s identity. Sharma further criticized the government’s handling of disaster-affected people and media voices, stating that FIRs are being filed against victims and journalists alike.
Sharma also cautioned that Himachal’s deteriorating financial condition could eventually lead to it being reduced to a Union Territory if the current governance approach continues.
