State’s biggest cricket league begins

Shimla based Welfare Sports Association launched the second edition of Pro Himachal Premium Cricket League in a press conference at Shimla. Founders Abhay Thakur, Ajay Thakur, Veenu Dewan and Sumit Sehgal while addressing the journalists told that the league will be the first in Himachal with cash prizes more than 40 lakhs. About 20 teams are participating in this league, in which more than 300 players will play.
They informed that the forms have been launched, the cost of which has been kept Rs 650. Forms will be available online only and all the interested players can fill their forms on www.prohpcl.com.
The last date for filling the forms has been kept December 31 and after that the process of auction will start. The league will have an auction process on the lines of IPL in which all the 20 franchises will buy their favorite players. The price for buying players in the auction has been kept between five thousand to fifteen thousand. In each team, 13 players from Himachal and 2 other players from outside state will be able to participate.
Trials of Pro HPCL will be conducted in various districts of Himachal so that the players do not face any problem.
Founder Ajay Thakur said that the first edition of the league was well received by the people. In the first edition of the league, a prize of 10 lakhs was kept, in which 16 teams from different places of the state participated. He informed that 20 franchisees have already registered their names in this edition from Rohru, Kotkhai, Theog, Kinnaur, Mandi, Karsog, Solan, Anni and other districts.
Organizer Veenu Dewan told that the youth of Himachal Pradesh have become so engrossed in drugs and mobiles that they are not even taking care of their health. Several efforts are being made to save those talented youth from the clutches of mobile and drugs.
At the same time, founders Abhay Thakur and Sumit Sehgal told that all the matches of the league will be shown live on Facebook and YouTube, in which an agreement has been made with a company to broadcast live like an IPL from outside.
The organizers requested all the youth to participate enthusiastically in this league and get a chance to win the coveted prize along with good health.
