State Government Committed to Strengthening Farmers’ Economy: Sanjay Awasthi

Arki, July 23: Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi stated that the Himachal Pradesh government is implementing innovative schemes at the rural level to enhance the economic conditions of farmers and livestock owners. Addressing a public gathering in Diggal under the ‘Vidhayak Aapke Dwaar’ programme, Awasthi inaugurated development works worth ₹1.55 crore in Gram Panchayats Diggal and Badhokhri.
Projects included multiple road inaugurations and the foundation stone for a playground, along with the opening of an Ayushman Arogya Mandir in Pandal village. He highlighted that the MSP for wheat, maize, turmeric, and milk (cow: ₹51/litre, buffalo: ₹61/litre) has been increased to benefit farmers.
He mentioned ₹9.98 crore worth of NABARD-approved schemes in Arki, including irrigation and drinking water projects in Salog, Khatteta, Chamdhar, and others. Awasthi emphasized ensuring transparency in scheme awareness and implementation, especially in the Vidyarthi Rin Yojana, which offers up to ₹20 lakh education loans at 1% interest.
He also promised a doctor at Diggal CHC and announced various local grants, including ₹2 lakh for a community hall and ₹1.25 lakh for a link road. A plantation drive was held at GSSS Diggal, and a local couple donated ₹50,000 to the CM Relief Fund.
