Arki MLA Resolves Public Issues Under ‘Vidhayak Aapke Dwar’ Program
Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi emphasized the government’s commitment to making Himachal Pradesh self-reliant and economically strong. He addressed a public gathering in Khatiyach Bawasi village under the ‘Vidhayak Aapke Dwar’ program, where he listened to local grievances and ensured their resolution.
He stated that the initiative is being implemented across all panchayats in the Arki constituency to provide quick solutions to people’s concerns at their doorstep. Awasthi also highlighted that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Thakur is working towards improving the state’s financial situation and ensuring inclusive development.
With 80% of Himachal’s population residing in rural areas, the government’s third budget aims to strengthen the economy by empowering villages. The MLA urged people to take full advantage of various welfare schemes.
During the event, officials addressed several issues on the spot, while others were directed for timely resolution. Residents from villages such as Maan, Manlog Kalan, Chillad, Pandal, Ladhech, Khateta, Kandi, Jyalang, Bhanon, Khatiyachi, and Manjyar participated in the program.
Awasthi honored Riya Sharma from Gram Panchayat Maan, a bronze medalist at the Special Olympics held in Italy, announcing a personal reward of ₹11,000 for her. He also declared:
- ₹14.75 lakh for the Maan Betnu Lift Drinking Water Scheme
- ₹1 lakh each for Moksha Dham construction in Jyalang and Manjyar
- ₹3.15 lakh for pipeline improvements in Nauni Manjyar Lift Drinking Water Scheme
- ₹50,000 each for Pokhtu and Kandi sports grounds
- ₹2 lakh for the Women’s Mandal Jyalang building and ₹11,000 for equipment
Additionally, Awasthi assured funding for road construction, irrigation schemes, and rain shelters in Jyalang and Kandi. He also pledged to revive the Jyalang Lift Water Supply Scheme and fill the vacant post of Community Health Officer at the Maan Sub-Health Center soon.
