Stakeholder Consultation Workshop Held Under ‘Greening of MSMEs’ Project in Una

Una, July 26: A stakeholder consultation workshop was organized under the ‘Greening of MSMEs’ project to promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices in micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Conducted jointly by Frost & Sullivan and Tinz Consultancy, the workshop witnessed participation from various industrial representatives and entrepreneurs of Una’s industrial clusters.
Discussions focused on greening practices, resource efficiency, energy conservation, waste management, and green financing. GM, Industries Department Una, Rachit Sharma informed that the project is part of the Government of India’s “Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP)” initiative, supported by the World Bank.
The scheme aims to provide technical and financial support to help MSMEs become competitive and environmentally sound. Around 1,900 MSMEs in Himachal Pradesh will be covered, with each unit undergoing a Resource Efficient Cleaner Production Study.
Experts trained participants on ESG, Net Zero, decarbonization, circular economy, and efficient use of renewable energy and recycling practices. Sharma emphasized that this project is not just about technology upgrade, but about shifting industrial mindsets toward sustainable growth.
