Spurious hooch case busted, 7 among kingpin arrested

SIT tasked in spurious liquor case erase curtain in few days on racket involved in supply and production of illicit liquor. The kingpin and six other person has been arrested so far. Two bottling plant, raw material and so many concerned items have seized. Few accused are being interrogate by SIT to reveal more information regarding case.

DIG Central zone Mandi Madhusudan stated that 9 member special investigation team was constituted and preliminary investigation four persons Sohan Lal alias Ravi, Pradeep Kumar, Jagdish Chand and Achchar Singh, had arrested who were involved in selling and supply of spurious liquor in Salapad area of Mandi district. After interrogation police arrested Narendra Alias Kalu and Ajay Kohli who were the main suppliers. Finally SIT arrested kingpin Gaurav Minhas Alias Goru resident of Simbal Khola near Panchrukhi of district Kangra and seized 25 lakh cash with so many important document. During interrogation it came out that Gaurav Minhas has running two plant of illicit liquor making at Hamirpur and Nalagarh. In Hamirpur he was running his illicit business with the help of Praveen Thakur in his premises at Garne Da Galu, where to worker Sunny and Pushpender were involved in production. Police team seized this bottling plant and all raw material with equipments. Police team also seized Nalagarh bottling plant. It will revealed that AK Tripathi of Jammu Kashmir was involved to supply formula and Sagar Saini of Dehli was the supplier of sprit. Sight integrating all concerned person and trying to bring out all facts related with spurious hooch racket.

SP Mandi Shalini Agnihotri said that investigation is on and we are trying to work out on all aspects of this case. We confirm that total 7 accused along with kingpin Gaurav Minhas has been arrested so far and hands some people are under interrogation.
