Special Traffic Plan for Shimla During Winter Season

Shimla, Dec 16: Shimla administration has announced a special traffic plan from December 20 to January 20, 2025, to manage over five lakh vehicles expected during the winter season.

Key measures include deploying 80 home guards, 10 4×4 vehicles with snow chains, and 5 JCBs for snow clearance. Parking facilities for tourists will be set up, and 100 reflective signboards installed across the city. Restrictions on large trucks will be implemented during peak hours, while Quick Response Teams and ambulances will remain on standby.

Authorities aim to ensure smooth traffic and safety for locals and tourists alike.
