Special focus on soft skills at Bahra University

Shimla, June 14 – With a view to give a push to placements of the students of the Bahra University the university has decided to lay special focus on developing soft skills among the students.

Disclosing this, Gurvinder Singh Bahra, chancellor Bahra University, said that students passing out from the university in courses like B Tech and BHM had two options available for them on completion of their course.

Armed with their technical education they could either become an entrepreneur setting up their own business or they could opt for a job. Soft skills go a long way in helping the students during their interviews for a job.

In soft skills special focus is laid on improving the confidence level of the student, honing of communication skills, and increasing their confidence level and attitude. These traits help the students during interviews.

He said the university is committed to the welfare of the students and help them in the matter of placements. The Rayat Bahra Group has tie-ups with several companies for placement of students.

He said that in view of the economic slowdown of Covid pandemic conditions the university has tied-up for education loans from banks. The students can avail of education loan at zero percent interest. On its part the university takes care of the interest part of the bank.

Bahra University is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the rural setting of the small city of Waknaghat. Officially recognized by the University Grants Commission, Bahra University is a co-educational higher education institution.

Bahra University offers courses and programmes leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
