Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania praised journalists’ contributions to India’s independence, equating them with freedom fighters. Speaking at a national symposium by the Indian Journalist Welfare Forum in Shimla, he assured discussions with the CM on pension benefits for journalists. Pathania also announced a ₹31,000 donation to the forum from his discretionary fund.
