Probe ordered into irregularities in recruitment process in Parmar University : Min

Shimla, Apr 5 – Himachal Pradesh Government informed the state assembly that if any irregularities are found in the recruitment process of Dr. Y. S Parmar University of Horticulture and Forest Nauni Solan government would order a probe to find the truth in the matter.
This was stated by Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi who was replying to a query asked by Congress member Kewal Singh Pathania( Nurpur) during the question hour on Wednesday. Minister said if members have any information about the bungling in the recruitment and paper leak case they should hand it over to him and he would order the probe immediately.
Opposing the accusation made by the Congress member Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur said members are making baseless charges on the paper leak and favoritism however University is autonomous institutions could not be blamed recklessly by any members. He said the recruitment process happens in the universities as per the provisions and there is no matter of paper leak and members should not make unsubstantiated accusations.
Jai Ram Thakur was intervened by the Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania that he could not give reply to the query in the house and he should confine his participation in the query to question only. Then Jai Ram Thakur asked the minister if the government would order any probe in the matter provided the government had anything against the institutions.
Minister said the leader of the opposition could speak on the issue but it is his duty and discretion to answer this reply. Mr. Negi stated he had already stated in the house that the government would definitely lodge a probe in the matter after going through the records.
