Solan: BUEST Nursing Students Visit Shivalik Solid Waste Management Plant

Solan, 12th April 2024 – The Department of Nursing at Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology organized an educational visit for B.Sc Nursing 5th semester and 3rd-year students to Shivalik Solid Waste Management Limited in Village Majra, Tehsil Nalagarh, Solan District. A total of 43 students, accompanied by faculty members Mrs. Jyoti Thakur and Mrs. Rajni Sharma, participated in the visit.

During the visit, Mr. Gurcharan Singh, Head of the Emergency Assembly Point, and Mr. Anand provided instructions on the treatment, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste. Shivalik Solid Waste Management Limited, operating the TSDF site in Himachal Pradesh since 2007, shared valuable insights on the five zones of hazardous waste management.
