Society Must Unite Against Drug Abuse: Sanjay Awasthi

Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi stressed that collective efforts of all sections of society are essential to curb drug abuse and protect the youth from narcotics. He was speaking at the annual prize distribution function held at Government Senior Secondary School, Bayla, in the Arki Assembly constituency. Earlier, he inaugurated a newly constructed examination hall built at a cost of ₹8 lakh.
The MLA said the state government under Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has launched a comprehensive campaign against drug abuse and urged people to actively participate in it. He highlighted the importance of moral values along with education for the holistic development of students and assured the start of a CBSE-affiliated Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding School in Pargana Rampur.
He also announced financial assistance for school infrastructure, rewarded meritorious students, and later heard public grievances under the ‘MLA at Your Doorstep’ programme, directing departments for their early resolution.
