Snow Marathon Lahaul 2025: World’s Highest Snow Run on March 23

Kullu/Manali, Mar 17: The fourth edition of Snow Marathon Lahaul, the world’s highest and Asia’s only high-altitude snow run, is set for March 23, 2025, in Sissu (Lahaul), Himachal Pradesh. Held at an altitude of 11,000 feet, this extreme endurance event will see over 300 participants from across India competing in four categories – 42 km (Full Marathon), 21 km (Half Marathon), 10 km, and 5 km.

Indian Army, Navy, Air Force Adventure Team, ITBP, and SSB will participate in this year’s event. The Indian Air Force team with 20 runners, and the Indian Army’s 25 elite runners, including athletes from Ladakh Scouts, Dogra, and Kumaon Regiments, will be part of the race.

The event is supported by Lahaul & Spiti District Administration, Himachal Tourism, and leading brands like Red Bull, Tiger Balm, Campus Shoes, Bisleri, Bonn, Fast&Up, and Fortis Hospital, Mohali. Red FM is the official radio partner.

Event Chief Col Arun Natrajan highlighted the environmental concerns of melting glaciers and diminishing snowfall, while event founder Gaurav Schimar emphasized the race’s core message of Himalayan conservation.
