Highlights for the FY 2020-21
• SJVN in FY 2020-21 recorded the highest ever profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 2168.67 crore.
• The net profit increased to Rs 1633.04 crore in 2020-21, from Rs 1557.43 crore reported in 2019-20.
• Earnings Per Share (EPS) increased from Rs 3.96 per share in 2019-20 to Rs 4.16 per share in 2020-21.
• SJVN has declared a dividend of Rs 2.20 per share for 2020-21.
• Registering a healthy profit, year after year, SJVN is a regular dividend paying company with a strong balance sheet. The present paid up capital of SJVN is Rs. 3929.80 crores, while the authorized capital is Rs. 7000 crores.
• SJVN Company Reserves in FY 2020-21 have increased to Rs 8032 crores.
• Dalal Street Investment Journal declared SJVN as the ‘Most Efficient and Profitable Mini Ratna of the Year 2020’ in the PSU Award category.
• To combat COVID-19 impact, SJVN spent Rs 52.87 crore on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in 2020-21.
• Steady on course towards a ‘Shared Vision’ of propelling SJVN into a 5000 MW generation capacity company by 2023, 12,000 MW by 2030 and 25,000 MW by 2040, the company’s project portfolio continues to grow from strength to strength.
• The current installed capacity of SJVN is 2016.51 MW, comprising of 1912 MW Hydro, 97.6 MW of Wind Power and 6.91 MW of Solar Power. The company also operates one Transmission Line of 86 km length while another one of 217 Km from Arun-3 HEP in Nepal to Bathnaha on the Nepal-India border is under construction.
• SJVNs current project portfolio capacity is over 11,000 MW, of which 2016.51 MW is in operation.
• SJVNs portfolio of Solar Power projects is fast expanding and has crossed 1350 MW, out of which 1345 MW capacity was recently secured, is under execution and is scheduled to be commissioned by FY 2023-24.
• Government of India has accorded Investment Approval for construction of 66 MW Dhaulasidh HEP and 210 Luhri Stage I HEP, and for pre-construction activities of Jangi Thopan HEP.
• SJVNs business footprint continues to expand and the company in FY 2020-21 and in the first half of 2021-22 has added new projects of more than 2500 MW generation capacity to its portfolio.
• SJVN has been allotted 679 MW Lower Arun Hydro Electric Project in Bhojpur district of Nepal by the Investment Board of Nepal; the 104 MW Tandi Project, 130 MW Rashil Project and the 267 MW Sach Khas Hydro Electric Project on Chenab Basis, by the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
Highlights for the 1st & 2nd Quarter of 2021-22
• Standalone Profit Before Tax in the first quarter of FY 2021-22 rose to Rs 445.07 Crore registering an increase of 15.86% over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
• The standalone net profit increased by 12.77% to Rs 339.54 Crore from Rs 301.08 Crore over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
• SJVN net worth jumped to Rs 13100.97 Crore at the end of June 2021 compared to Rs 12332.85 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
• SJVN set a new Power Generation record by generating 1580 MU in July 2021, surpassing the previous record of 1563 MU in July 2020.
• On 02nd August 2021, NJHPS recorded the highest Single Day generation of 39.397 MU.
• In July 2021 NJHPS registered the highest monthly generation of 1216.565 MU.
• In July 2021 Rampur Hydro Power Station clocked the highest monthly power generation of 335.9057 MU.
• On 26th March 2021, through competitive bidding, SJVN bagged the 70 MW Solar PV Power Project in Gujarat.
• On 21st May 2021 SJVN bagged the 75 MW Grid connected Solar PV Power Project in Uttar Pradesh.
• On 14th August 2021 SJVN bagged the 200 MW Grid connected Solar PV Power Project in Bihar.
• On 24th September, 21, SJVN bagged 1000 MW of Grid connected Solar PV Power Projects through Request for Proposal (RFP) floated by Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA).
