SJVN-led NARAKAS Shimla (Office-2) Honored with ‘NARAKAS Protsahan Samman’ 2024-25

Shimla, Sept 15 – The Town Official Language Implementation Committee (NARAKAS), Shimla (Office-2) chaired by SJVN Limited’s Chairman & Managing Director, Shri Bhupender Gupta, has been conferred with the prestigious “NARAKAS Protsahan Samman – 2024-25” by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The award was presented during the National Hindi Day-2025 celebrations and the 5th All India Official Language Conference at Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
CMD Shri Bhupender Gupta said that the award recognizes the outstanding efforts of member central government offices, PSUs, and banks under NARAKAS Shimla (Office-2) in implementing the official language policy. He emphasized that the committee will continue its collaborative efforts to promote wider use of Hindi.
Director (Personnel) Shri Ajay Kumar Sharma highlighted that the award has been instituted to honor exemplary performance by NARAKAS committees across India. The evaluation was carried out based on submissions received from various committees, considering multiple aspects of Hindi policy implementation.
The award was received by Shri Ashish Pant, GM (Rajbhasha), SJVN & Member Secretary, NARAKAS Shimla (Office-2) from Smt. Anshuli Arya, Secretary, Department of Official Language, and other dignitaries.
NARAKAS, an official committee chaired by the senior-most central government officer of a city, works to monitor, promote, and strengthen the use of Hindi across government offices, PSUs, and banks.
