SJVN inks Power Usage Agreement with JKPCL for 300 MW Solar Power

SJVN through its wholly owned subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has signed a Power Usage Agreement (PUA) with Jammu & Kashmir Power Corporation Limited (JKPCL).
Smt. Geeta Kapur, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN informed that the PUA has been signed for 300 MW Solar Power capacity to be supplied to JKPCL from the under construction 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project (Bikaner SPP). Bikaner SPP is being developed by SJVN through SGEL in the state of Rajasthan under CPSU Scheme of IREDA at a cost of Rs 5,491 crores. The project is being developed under the Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) mode and is slated for commissioning by July 2024. The power generated from the project will be used by government entities, either directly or through Discoms.
The Agreement has been signed by Sh. Ajay Kumar Singh, CEO, SGEL and CE, JKPCL at Jammu in presence of senior officials of SGEL and JKPCL.
SJVN, a leading Power CPSU is on rapid progression to achieve its Shared Vision of 25,000 MW by 2030 & 50,000 MW by 2040. This Shared Vision has been formulated in sync with the commitment of the Government of India of generating 50% energy from non-fossil fuel-based energy resources by 2030.
