SJVN Hosts Nagar Rajbhasha Implementation Committee Meeting in Shimla

Shimla, July 30, 2025 –
A semi-annual meeting of the Nagar Rajbhasha Karyanvayan Samiti, Shimla (Office-2) was convened under the chairmanship of SJVN Limited at its Corporate Headquarters in Shimla. The meeting was held in accordance with Government of India directives to promote the use of Hindi in central government offices, public sector undertakings, and banks.

The session was chaired by Shri Chandra Shekhar Yadav, Executive Director (Human Resources) of SJVN, and attended by Shri Ashish Pant, General Manager (Rajbhasha) of the corporation, along with heads and representatives of central government offices and banks under NARAKAS-2, Shimla.

In his address, Shri Yadav emphasized the importance of maximizing the use of Hindi in official functions. He praised the efforts of member offices and encouraged continued commitment toward achieving the official language goals.

Shri Ashish Pant presented the progress report of member offices and reviewed the follow-up actions from the previous meeting. Discussions were also held on meeting the language targets set by the Government of India, and a consensus was reached to organize Hindi competitions and workshops.

A total of 52 officers from various central government offices, PSUs, and banks participated in the meeting.
