SJVN Honoured with ‘Rajbhasha Prabha’ Award by Ministry of Power for Excellence in Hindi Implementation

Shimla, June 19, 2025 — SJVN has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Rajbhasha Prabha’ award by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, for outstanding implementation of the Official Language Policy during the year 2023–24.

The award was presented by Hon’ble Minister of Power, Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Manohar Lal, to Shri Bhupendra Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director (Additional Charge), SJVN, during a meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry held in New Delhi.

The event was also graced by the Hon’ble Minister of State for Power, Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Secretary of the Ministry of Power, Shri Pankaj Agarwal, and senior officials from various undertakings and corporations under the Ministry.

Bhupendra Gupta stated that SJVN received the award for its excellent efforts in promoting and implementing the official language policy across its various offices and project locations. On this occasion, the in-house Hindi magazine of SJVN’s Rajbhasha Department was also unveiled by dignitaries.

Instituted by the Ministry of Power, the award recognises the commendable efforts made by PSUs and institutions under its aegis to promote and propagate the use of Hindi. The evaluation process covers all aspects of official language implementation, aiming to integrate the use of Hindi with the progress of power generation and outreach across the country.
