SJVN Limited, a leading Navratna CPSE, today held its 37th Annual General Meeting (AGM). Chairman & Managing Director, Shri Bhupender Gupta addressed the shareholders and outlined operational, financial and strategic achievements of the company in FY 2024–25.
In his address, Sh. Bhupender Gupta said that FY 2024–25 was a defining year of operational excellence. SJVN achieved its highest-ever generation of 10,647 MU from all operational projects. The 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station delivered record outputs, including highest ever quarterly generation of 3450.98 MU, highest single-day generation of 39.572 MU and record monthly generation of 1222.170 MU. Similarly, 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station achieved its highest-ever monthly generation of 292.331 MU and clocked record quarterly generation of 955.616 MU, along with highest single-day generation of 11.023 MU. The 60 MW Naitwar Mori Hydro Power Station surpassed its design energy and generated 316.40 MU in its first operational year.
Bhupender Gupta stated that SJVN has reported robust financial results in FY 2024–25. Revenue from Operations increased to ₹2,897.25 crore, up by ₹363.66 crore from ₹2,533.59 crore in FY 2023–24. Standalone Profit After Tax (PAT) also increased to ₹970.18 crore, up by ₹61.78 crore from ₹908.40 crore in previous year. The Board of the company has recommended final dividend of ₹0.31 per share, taking total dividend for FY 2024–25 to ₹1.46 per share including interim dividend. The company maintained one of the healthiest receivables ratios in the sector, achieving best-ever trade receivables level of 15 days of revenue reflecting strong financial discipline.
FY 2024-25 was marked with landmark achievement of prestigious Navratna status on 30th August 2024. This milestone reflects SJVN’s operational excellence, financial strength and strategic importance in India’s power sector transformation.
Since April 2024, 691 MW capacity has been added taking total installed capacity portfolio to 2967.52 MW from 12 projects. The first unit of 660 MW of Buxar Thermal Power Project has been successfully synchronized with national grid on 21st August 2025 and was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister on 22nd August 2025.
In FY 2024–25, SJVN incurred an expenditure of ₹31.24 crore on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) with initiatives in verticals such as health, education, livelihood creation and community infrastructure development etc. Retaining an ‘Excellent’ corporate governance rating under DPE, company continues to advance its projects to cut carbon emissions and support India’s clean energy transition.
For FY 2025–26, SJVN has an MOU target of 13090 MU generation and ₹12,000 crore Capex. During Q1 of the fiscal, company has reported energy generation of 3681.60 MU, recorded revenue of ₹822.4 crore and PAT of ₹258.51 crore.
Concluding his address, Sh. Bhupender Gupta extended heartfelt gratitude to Government of India, State Governments, key Ministries and partner institutions for their continued guidance and support. He also thanked all stakeholders and lauded the dedication of Board and SJVN employees as true strength of company. Reaffirming SJVN’s commitment to excellence and sustainable growth, he emphasized its role in building Viksit and Shreshtha Bharat.
