SJVN Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma Lays Foundation Stone of Ancient Kothi under CSR Initiative

Shimla, October 17, 2025:
SJVN’s Director (Personnel) and Chairman of SJVN Foundation, Ajay Kumar Sharma, inaugurated several developmental works in the 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS) project area today. As part of the initiative, he laid the foundation stone of the ancient Kothi located within the Devi Sahiba Lati Jahri, Khadkag Temple premises.
During the occasion, Mr. Sharma flagged off an electric vehicle hired through a project-affected person for project-related work. He also planted a sapling under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, promoting environmental responsibility.
In his address, Sharma emphasized that SJVN is not only implementing developmental activities in its project areas but is also deeply committed to preserving local culture and traditions. He announced that under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, SJVN will extend financial assistance of over ₹36 lakh for the restoration of the Devi Sahiba Lati Jahri, Khadkag Temple complex.
The event was attended by NJHPS Head, Rajeev Kapoor, along with departmental heads and local dignitaries.
