Sixty Units of Blood Collected at JUIT Campus During Joint Social Service Initiative

Waknaghat, February 5 : The Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, successfully organized a voluntary blood donation camp today at the University Auditorium. The initiative was spearheaded by the University’s Red Ribbon Club (RRC) in coordination with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) and the National Cadet Corps (NCC), JUIT.

The camp was conducted in professional association with the Blood Bank of Maharishi Markandeshwar (MMU) University, Solan. The proceedings were held under the expert guidance of Dr. Jay Prakash, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), JUIT, alongside a specialized medical team from MMU Hospital, ensuring that all collection processes adhered to stringent safety and hygiene protocols.

The event was marked by a steady and disciplined turnout from students, faculty, and administrative staff, reflecting the institution’s commitment to social welfare. Due to the high level of participation, the MMU Blood Bank’s target of 60 units was achieved efficiently.

Student coordinators A.C. Katoch and Kashish Thakur of the Red Ribbon Club managed the logistical arrangements for the day. University officials noted that such initiatives are vital for fostering a sense of civic responsibility among the youth and providing essential support to regional healthcare infrastructure.
