Sirmaur: One Killed, Four Injured in Collision

Sirmaur, Aug 22 – A tragic road accident occurred in the sub-district, leading to the unfortunate death of one person and leaving four others injured. The incident happened near LalDhang when a truck (RJ07GC-7473) experienced brake failure and collided with a car (HR71G-8008) traveling ahead. The driver of the truck lost his life at the accident site.

The car’s driver fled the scene. As of the latest update, the identity of the deceased truck driver has not been established. However, the injured individuals have been identified as 32-year-old Sajan Kumar from Mangalore Tehsil in Yamunanagar district, 35-year-old Anamika, 8-year-old Kumari Layra (daughter of Jitendra Singh), and 32-year-old Sushil Kumar from Jagadhri Tehsil.

No documents providing permanent address details were found with the deceased driver. The body was taken to Paunta Sahib Civil Hospital. DSP Manvinder Thakur confirmed the accident and stated that a comprehensive investigation is underway from all aspects.
