SILB Celebrates World Food Day

Solan, Oct 19 – World Food Day is celebrated every year on 16th October. This day inspires people in the world to understand the importance of food grains and stop their wastage.  The theme for World Food Day 2021 is “Safe Food now for a Healthy Tomorrow”.
Solan-based Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management (SILB) celebrated World Food Day under the theme “Safe Food now for a Healthy Tomorrow”.
On this occasion, various competitions including declamation, quiz, painting, and mime were organized in the Institute. The students participated enthusiastically in these competitions.
President of the Institute, Saroj Khosla was the chief guest.  She highly appreciated the performance of the participants and urged all the students present in the program to make healthy and nutritious food their diet, citing the prevailing Coronavirus situation and urged to help the needy.
Dr Shalini Sharma, Director of the Institute, all the teachers, and other staff were also present at the event.
Sagar and Sapna won first and second prize respectively in the painting competition, Vikas stood first and Aastha second in Declamation, Olivia and Deepali first in quiz competition and Anshul and Anshuman second, team Utopia won in mime competition.  At the end of the program all the winners were felicitated with prizes by the chief guest.
