Shoolini Winter Cricket Premier League 2024 Concludes with Akatsuki’s Victory

Solan, December 5 – Shoolini University recently concluded the Shoolini Winter Cricket Premier League 2024, a campus-wide tournament aimed at fostering fitness, teamwork, and unity. Organized by the Sports Department under the Dean Student Welfare Office, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty alike.

Professor Neeraj Gandotra, Associate Dean Student Welfare, highlighted the tournament’s role in promoting a healthy competitive spirit. After intense matches, Team Akatsuki, captained by Mayank, emerged victorious, while Baby Boomers, led by Rohit Negi, secured the runner-up position.

Brig S. D. Mehta, Director of Operations, presented the awards during the prize distribution ceremony, emphasizing the university’s dedication to holistic development through sports. Anmol stole the show, bagging awards for Best Batter, Best Bowler, and Player of the Tournament. Aashish Sharma was named Best Fielder for his outstanding fielding efforts.

Decathlon Solan supported the event by providing trophies and sports equipment. The tournament was coordinated by Vikrant Chauhan, Assistant Professor of Physical Education, and Abhishek, the Cricket Coach. Chauhan described the event as a milestone in enhancing the sports culture at Shoolini University, setting the stage for future initiatives.
