Shoolini University wins overall trophy at the CU National Media Fest

The students of the School of Media and Communications at Shoolini University have won the overall trophy at the 7th Media Fest held on Friday at Chandigarh University, Landran near Chandigarh.
The team won the first prize in the Short Film category, and secured the second position in Ad Mad, Reel Making, and Photography. The team attained the third position in the Radio Jockey and second in  Online Photography categories.
Students from around 40 Universities and colleges  participated in the Media Fest organised by Chandigarh University from universities all over India, including CT Group of Institutions, Kurukshetra University, Punjabi University, Chitkara University, Haridev Joshi University of Journalism and Mass Communication, Government Science College Sector 10, Christ University Yeshwantpur, Guru Nanak Dev University, Uttranchal University,  Jamia Millia Islamia University Delhi, Mata Gujri College, and the host institution, Chandigarh University.
The competition at the 7th Media Fest included documentary making, live reporting, radio jockey, photography, poetry, nukkad natak, ad mad, dubbing, and online photography.
Prof Vipin Pubby, Director School of Media and Communications at Shoolini University extended his warm congratulations to the students and said he was proud of them.
Trustee and Director Mrs. Nishtha Shukla Anand said it was a remarkable achievement by the students who had won the over-all trophy at the Chandigarh University Media Fest.
Dr. Ranjna Thakur, Associate Professor at the School of Media and Communications, who had accompanied the team, said “it was a much awaited dream come true”.
Assistant Professor Ms. Indu Negi, who also accompanied the students, said there was immense enthusiasm among the participating students.
