Shoolini University Concludes Winter Camp for Faculty and Staff Children

Solan, January 30: Shoolini University successfully concluded its ten-day winter camp for the children of faculty and staff, with a grand closing event at Cineplex yesterday. The camp, aimed at fostering creativity and engagement, saw the participation of nearly 20 children in a range of activities designed to promote learning and skill development.

The camp featured dance sessions by Nitika Thakur, music and group song training by Amit Ghotta, yoga sessions by Anupama Chandel, and art & craft activities supervised by Namita Gandotra. A special ARVR Lab demonstration was conducted by Dr. Brij Bhushan Sharma, while Vikrant managed sports activities and Suresh led adventure programs.

The final event was graced by Prof. Nandan Sharma, Associate Dean, Faculty of Legal Sciences, and Prof. Neeraj Gandotra, Associate Dean, Welfare. They commended the initiative for keeping children engaged in creative and skill-building activities while reducing screen time. Certificates were distributed to all participants.

Mrs. Poonam Nanda, Director of Sustainability and Community Exchange, lauded the camp as a meaningful and joyful experience for children. Additionally, Neelam Thakur and Puja Thakur conducted an interactive library visit, while Pooja Verma from DSW office provided constant support. Vipul and caretaker Saloni played key roles in managing logistics, while Ruchika Sharma ensured children’s safety and engagement throughout the camp.

Prof. Neeraj Gandotra highlighted that the winter camp was a perfect blend of fun, learning, and creativity, leaving a lasting impact on the young participants.
