Shoolini Univ researcher shines at World Cotton Research Conference in Uzbekistan

Dr. Radha, Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany and a key researcher at Shoolini University, participated in the World Cotton Research Conference-8 (WCRC-8), held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan inaugurated the conference, setting the stage for international collaboration.
Dr. Radha represented Shoolini University on an international platform by presenting her research paper titled “Enhanced Lignin Extraction from Cotton Stalk Using Ultrasound-Assisted Ionic Liquid Method,” which was selected for an oral presentation at the event.
In addition to presenting her research, Dr. Radha showcased her creative talents by participating in two competitions. She won first place in a craft-making competition using cotton and a traditional dress competition representing Himachal Pradesh. For her culturally significant Himachali outfit, crafted entirely from pure cotton, she was awarded $200. In the craft contest, she earned $100 for completing an innovative cotton-based piece within 10 minutes.
The conference drew participants from various countries, including the United States, Egypt, China, Pakistan, South Africa, France, Bangladesh, and Brazil, making it a culturally and academically enriching experience.
