Shoolini Univ celebrates 7th International Day of Yoga

21-day Yoga webinar series conclude

Shoolini University celebrated the 7th international Day of Yoga in a big way by organising a function in the University campus as well as concluding a 21-day long series of Webinars on Yoga.

A one-hour Yoga practice session was organised with due covid precautions in the morning where Major General Atul Kaushik, Chairman, Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission (HP-PEIRC) was the chief guest.

Prof. P.K. Khosla, Chancellor, Shoolini University shared his experiences of Yoga and Prof. Atul Khosla, Vice Chancellor, delivered the welcome address.

The programme started with the traditional yoga prayer chanted by Dr. Mala Tripathi Assistant Professor Yoga, Shoolini University.

Subsequently, Ms Anupma and Ms Deepshikha conducted a yoga session.

Gen Kaushik, delivering the Yoga day address, said he has great faith in Indian tradition and specially Yoga. He said he had participated in virtual yoga sessions from Shoolini University and found the experience amazing and helpful.

Dr. Subodh Saurabh Singh, Head, School of Yoga, gave details of the yoga related activities by the University. A Vote of thanks was delivered by Brigadier Mehta, Director Operations of Shoolini University.

The programme concluded with Shanti mantra chanted by Dr. Mala Tripathi.

Meanwhile, the 21-day webinar series in yoga concluded with a virtual function on the International Day of Yoga with a webinar on “Understanding of Kriya Yoga”.

The Keynote Speaker was Professor P.K.Khosla, Founder and Chancellor, Shoolini University. The session started with Mantra chanting by Assistant Professor Ms. Bhawna Bhatia . The welcome note was presented by Vice- Chancellor Dr. Atul Khosla. He stated that Yoga provides for a healthy and happy life.

Delivering his keynote address, the Chancellor explained about the science of Kriya Yoga and how it rejuvenates each cell of the body. He emphasised on Karma theory that determines our destiny and by the practice of Kriya Yoga , one may destroy all sins and desires.

The webinar concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Poonam Nanda, Dean, students welfare, and closing remark was presented by the Head, School of Yoga and Naturopathy Associate Professor Dr. Subodh Saurabh Singh.
