Shoolini NHRDN Chapter launched for promoting Industry-Academia partnerships in region

The 37th chapter of the National Human Resources Development Network (NHRDN) was inaugurated at Shoolini University campus today. This milestone marks a significant stride towards fostering a robust Industry-Academia partnership and promoting HR practices.
On the occasion of the launch, Chancellor Shoolini University, Prof PK Khosla, emphasised the paramount importance of industry collaboration alongside formal education. He said that the collaborative outcomes would ascend to remarkable heights of success.
Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla outlined the university’s vision to expand NHRDN in North India, recognising India’s potential as a dominant global economy. He also stressed the importance of retraining the workforce for future challenges, especially in the realm of data science and research. Prof Khosla emphasised NHRDN’s pivotal role in shaping future leaders, envisioning India as a beacon of success by 2050.
Guest of Honour, President of SILB and Founder President and Trustee of Shoolini University, Mrs. Saroj Khosla, highlighted the importance of happiness in life. She urged human resource professionals to instill in students the awareness that life satisfaction is as crucial as professional success.
Prof. Arvind Nanda, President – People Practices and HR, with three decades of corporate experience, shared insights into the benefits students would gain from this collaboration. He particularly emphasised the significance of such partnerships for research scholars to apply their findings in an industry setting.
National President NHRDN, Mr. Prem Singh attended the launch online and commended Shoolini management for their passion and commitment. He envisioned great heights and remarkable achievements through collective dedication. Mr. Singh welcomed Shoolini as the youngest chapter of NHRDN.
Dr. TV Rao, Founder-President of NHRDN, connected virtually and highlighted the chapter’s potential to bring new curricula and methods to the North region and enhancing the classroom experience.
Dr. Aquil Busrai, CEO of Aquil Busrai Consulting, emphasised the importance of NHRDN in providing a platform for students to showcase their values, knowledge, and ideas. He stressed the significance of thinking big to achieve big, encouraging students to leverage NHRDN for networking and collaborative practice. He was also connected online.
Mr. Dhananjay Singh, Director General of NHRDN, a seasoned management professional, emphasised the strategic planning, change management, leadership development, and new initiatives that the collaboration would bring.
The event also featured a panel discussion, moderated by Mr. Munish Sahrawat Dean Faculty of management Sciences Shoolini University. The discussion brought together Mr. Dhananjay Singh, Ashish Shekhar, GM of HR and IR at Yokohama India, Nalin Srivastava, Head of Learning Center at NHRDN, and Vice President and Director Operations Shoolini University Online Prof. Tarun Gupta. The panel explored key insights into the future of HR practices, the impact on learning and development, and the potential contributions of the NHRDN chapter to the academic and professional growth of students.
On the occasion Mr. Ashish Khosla, Director of Learning and Innovations at Shoolini University, highlighted the immense opportunities in online education for the working population of India. He stressed the need to retrain students and adapt to evolving educational landscapes.
Mrs. Poonam Nanda, Dean of Students Welfare, moderated the whole event and emphasised the crucial nature of the collaboration for the personal and professional growth of students and faculty alike.
