Shoolini Leads Rural Youth Leadership Workshop

Reflecting its commitment to community engagement and value based education, Shoolini University contributed to a Leadership Training Programme organised by St. Luke’s Vocational Training Centre in Damakri Village, Solan.
The one-day workshop, conducted under the guidance of Sister Malaya, Director of the Centre, aimed to instill leadership qualities in rural children, encouraging them to become responsible and proactive citizens of tomorrow.
Dr. Pooja Verma, Associate Professor Management and Assistant Director Shoolini Online and Distance Education Shoolini University, was the resource person for this inspiring initiative. With her extensive experience in education and leadership training, Dr. Verma led an interactive and engaging session that included group discussions, experiential learning, and creative activities. Through these tools, she highlighted the importance of honesty, responsibility, impartiality, and collective decision making essential traits of effective leadership.
Addressing the gathering of over 70 children from the village, Dr. Verma encouraged the young participants to rise above challenges, think critically, and work collaboratively to solve issues within their communities.
The program received wholehearted support from the Vigilant Committee Village Damakri, whose members played a key role in coordinating the event.
Sister Malaya expressed heartfelt thanks to Dr. Pooja Verma and Shoolini University for their contribution and affirmed the centre’s commitment to organising similar developmental programmes in the future.
