Shoolini Law students take part in Mega Legal Awareness Drive

The Faculty of Legal Sciences, Shoolini University, participated in a Mega Legal Literacy Awareness Camp organised by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Solan, at Dr YS Parmar University, Nauni.
A total of 100 law students and four faculty members from Shoolini University took part in this important outreach initiative, which aimed to promote legal awareness and encourage social responsibility among young citizens.
The event centred around two vital themes, “Drug-Free Society: Resolution of Bharat” and “Environment Protection: Save Planet.”
Justice Vivek Singh Thakur, Justice Virender Singh, Justice Jiya Lal Bhardwaj, and Justice Romesh Verma of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh were present at the occasion. DM Solan Manmohan Sharma and ADM Solan Rahul Jain joined them.
In their inspiring addresses, Judges highlighted the importance of staying away from drugs, exercising self-awareness, and upholding strong moral values. They referred to the teachings of the Geeta as a guide for leading a meaningful life. The dignitaries motivated the students to play an active role in protecting the environment and to act as responsible citizens committed to positive social change.
The participating students gained meaningful insights into the functioning of the legal system, the purpose of legal awareness campaigns, and the importance of providing legal services to vulnerable sections of society. The event also helped strengthen their communication skills, confidence, and understanding of their future responsibilities as legal professionals.
In addition to the main programme, six students from Shoolini University volunteered in a blood donation camp, reflecting their commitment to community welfare. Student coordinators Pallvi, Ashutosh, and Saransh ensured smooth participation and represented the university with dedication.
The event was coordinated by Mr Vineet Thakur, Assistant Professor, along with faculty members Ms Somya Sharma, Ms Meghna Thakur, and Ms Yugasha from the Faculty of Legal Science.
