Former MP and Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh has responded to BJP’s allegations against the Congress government in light of the upcoming by-elections in three assembly constituencies. Singh emphasized that the Congress upholds the principles of democracy with unwavering faith.
Addressing a statement today, Singh questioned why the BJP avoids discussing issues in the state. She pointed out that the recent by-elections aimed to destabilize the Congress government despite having a full majority.
Singh categorically dismissed BJP’s claims of forming a government in the state after July 13, emphasizing that the number of Congress MLAs will increase to 41 after the election results. She called for complete coordination and cooperation among party district presidents and officials in Kangra, Hamirpur, Solan, Dehra, Hamirpur, and Nalagarh blocks for effective campaign management.
Singh stressed the need for vigilant monitoring at every polling booth to ensure BJP does not interfere with the election process. She announced plans for an extensive tour of these three assembly constituencies soon.
Moreover, Singh highlighted significant decisions made by the Congress government, such as reinstating old-age pensions for employees and issuing a monthly honorarium of Rs. 1500 to women, urging party workers to disseminate this information widely.
