Chandigarh Manali NH-3 closed after landslide

Shimla, Jan 15 – The Chandigarh- Manali National Highway no-3 is closed due to landslide which occurred near Mandi town on Sunday afternoon.
The work of cleaning the road is going on, but if more debris come from the mountain, then people may have to wait till the evening.
Till then, arrangements have been made for small vehicles and emergency vehicles to exit from the additional road. Lot of debris and rocks have fallen on the highway.
The landslides occurred due to recent rainfall and widening of NH. The traffic was diverted for light vehicles from Mandi’s Bhiyuli Chowk to Bajaura via Kataula Road.
People going to Chandigarh-Delhi have been requested to leave via Chail chowk through Pandoh.
