Shimla: Two Cases of Sexual Assault Against Minors
1 min readShimla, September 6: In the capital city of Shimla, two cases of sexual assault involving minors have come to light. Based on the complaints, the police have registered cases under IPC Section 376 and the POCSO Act and initiated investigations. Both cases have been reported in different police precincts within the city. The victims allege that they were forced into physical relationships against their will.
In the first case registered in the Baluganj police station area, the complainant reported that a youth named Sachin had forcibly established physical relations with her. When she visited the hospital for medical treatment, she discovered that she was pregnant. The police have registered a case under IPC Section 376 and initiated an investigation. The second case has been filed at the Mahila police station.
In her complaint to the police, the second victim stated that a youth named Sahil Thakur took her to a hotel in the city against her will and engaged in a physical relationship with her. The police have registered the case and initiated an investigation. Medical examinations have been conducted in both cases. Suspects in both cases are being questioned by the police.”
