Shimla to Launch Food Safety Awareness Campaign Along NH

Shimla, Dec 16: A special awareness campaign will be conducted along the Shoghi-Narkanda National Highway until January 10, 2025, focusing on food quality and hygiene at eateries, hotels, and street vendors. The initiative, led by Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap, will include mobile food testing labs under “Food Safety on Wheels” for random inspections and awareness.

Public facilities such as schools, hospitals, PGs, and hostels will also be prioritized for food quality checks. The campaign aims to ensure compliance with FSSAI norms, safeguarding food standards for residents and tourists alike.
