Shimla Police Traces Missing Woman Within 24 Hours

Shimla | March 1, 2026: Demonstrating promptness and sensitivity, the First Women Police Station (BCS) of Shimla Police successfully traced a 47-year-old missing woman within 24 hours and reunited her with her family after completing all legal formalities.

According to police officials, a complaint was lodged on March 1 by Tanuja, a resident of Thakur Niwas, BCS, stating that her mother, Mansi (47), had gone missing on the evening of February 28 from the BCS Diamond area. After extensive search efforts by the family yielded no results, the matter was reported to the police.

Taking swift action, the Women Police Station team initiated an immediate investigation. With the help of modern tracking techniques and coordinated local intelligence inputs, the police were able to locate the woman within a day. She was found safe and in good health.

Shimla Police reiterated its commitment to citizen safety and appealed to the public to immediately report any emergency or suspicious activity by dialing 112 or contacting the nearest police station.
