Shimla Police Arrest Two Burglars

Shimla, Sept. 03
On 19-5-22, a burglary at a house in Summerhill was reported to the police. Jewellery worth Rs. 5 lakhs and a laptop were reported stolen. FIR under sections 454, 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Shimla West.

During investigation, two persons aged 25 years each who are residents of Gurdaspur and Ludhiana in Punjab were found to be involved in this burglary. The accused persons were also involved in the recently solved bike theft cases.

The accused persons had sold the stolen items in a jewellery shop in Totu Bazaar. The owner of the jewellery shop was arrested under section 411 IPC for buying stolen property. Investigation of the case is under progress.
