Shimla Police Arrest Fraud Accused From Chennai

Shimla, Feb 26

A team of Shimla Police has arrested one person named Balamurgan Pashupathy from Perambur, Chennai in case FIR NO 11/22 dated 15/02/2022 u/s 420,120 B IPC of PS East. He had cheated a firm at Panthaghati to the tune of ₹ 36 lakhs.

The accused and his partners have listed several fake companies on Indian Mart as suppliers of DI pipes to con contractors and business agencies across the India. After cheating the victim accused Balamurgan was absconding and was not traceable. Team nabbed the accused after 4 days search in Chennai.

The accused also has a theft case registered against him in Chennai and is also wanted in the fraud cases by Karnataka Police. Accused had been brought to Shimla on 25/02/2022. Investigation is going on in this case.
