Shimla, September 28, 2023: A fire incident at a government ration depot in the Theog sub-division of the capital has come to light, resulting in significant loss of food supplies.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Wednesday at a government ration depot located in Prem Ghat. Suddenly, a fire broke out, causing a substantial quantity of food supplies to be consumed by the flames. The fire incident was reported around 10 a.m.

Upon receiving the information, fire department vehicles promptly arrived at the scene and successfully extinguished the blaze. However, by the time the fire was brought under control, a considerable amount of the food stock stored at the ration depot had already been damaged.
