Shimla DC Calls for United Action Against Drug Abuse in ENCORD Meeting

Shimla, Feb 01 : A district-level Narcotics Coordination Centre (ENCORD) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap at the Bachat Bhawan Auditorium. Officials discussed strategies to curb drug trafficking and substance abuse, emphasizing inter-departmental coordination. Kashyap praised Shimla Police’s efforts and announced a Drug-Free Campaign this month. Plans include awareness programs in schools and anti-drug drives at the sub-divisional level. Shimla SP Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi urged public participation, highlighting the Drug-Free app for anonymous reporting. Senior officials from various departments attended the meeting.
