Shimla, Oct 5– The Shimla Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Court has ordered the demolition of the second and third floors of the Sanjauli mosque, built without approval. The mosque construction committee requested the demolition, acknowledging that the structure lacked permits. A third-party application to join the case was dismissed. The court’s ruling follows public protests from groups like the VHP, marking the first such order for a religious structure based on its own committee’s submission. The next hearing is set for December 21.
