Shimla : Bihar-Origin Youth Murders Woman

A young man of Bihar origin allegedly committed a gruesome murder in the Mandhol village of Jubbal tehsil, Shimla district, Himachal Pradesh. The accused, identified as Rahul Tiwari (22), reportedly entered someone’s house in the village with the intention of theft on Tuesday afternoon, around 1 PM. During the theft, he was spotted by the woman of the house. In the meantime, the accused youth took off his stole and strangled the woman to death. After the murder, the accused fled the scene on a bus. When the family members of the victim learned about the incident, they apprehended the accused, who was attempting to escape, near Kayana village, about three kilometers away. They subsequently informed the police about the situation. The police took the youth into custody. During the preliminary investigation, the stolen money and other items taken by the accused were recovered. The body of the deceased woman has been taken into custody for a post-mortem examination.
