Shimla: Alleged Molestation Leads to Pregnancy of Minor Nepali Girl

In a shocking incident in the capital city of Shimla, a step-brother has been accused of committing a heinous crime against his minor step-sister, resulting in the victim becoming pregnant. The accused had reportedly been intimidating and threatening the victim for an extended period while maintaining an exploitative relationship.

The local police have registered a case against the alleged perpetrator under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Notably, the victim hails from Nepali descent, and the distressing incident unfolded in the Baluganj police station area.

The mother of the victim complained with the police, revealing that her minor daughter had been taken by her step-brother, the son of her husband’s elder brother, to help with his studies. The victim had been residing with him in a rented room in Shimla city. Two days ago, when the girl returned home, she complained of abdominal pain. Upon inquiry, the victim disclosed that her step-brother had allegedly sexually assaulted her through coercion and threats, leading to her unintended pregnancy.

The victim’s mother promptly filed a complaint at the Baluganj police station.
