Shimla Administration Cracks Down on Illegal LPG Supply, Seizes 372 Cylinders and 3 Vehicles

Shimla, August 26 – Acting on a tip-off, the Shimla district administration seized three vehicles and 372 illegal LPG cylinders near the SJVNL office at Shanan. The raid, led by ADM (Law & Order) Pankaj Sharma along with officials from the Food & Civil Supplies Department and police, revealed unauthorized storage and distribution by a local gas agency.

In Rohru subdivision, a separate inspection team seized 11 more illegal cylinders. DC Shimla Anupam Kashyap stated that strict action is being taken, emphasizing that such unauthorized supply, often directed towards hotels and roadside eateries, poses a serious risk to public safety. The administration has assured continued vigilance and strict enforcement against such illegal activities.
