Shahpur will be made ideal assembly constituency: Pathania

Dharamshala, Dec 20 – The government formed in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is committed to making arrangements for the convenience of the common man and Shahpur assembly constituency would be made a model assembly constituency in the state,Shahpur MLA Kewal Singh Pathania stated this in a meeting organized with officials of various departments at SDM office Shahpur to review the development works on Tuesday.
He instructed the officers that keeping in view the quality of the development works, they should be completed within the stipulated time.
Instructing the officers of all the departments, he said that the plaques which were damaged or broken during his previous tenure should be installed within a week.
Pathania thanked all the officers and employees for conducting the elections peacefully in Shahpur. In the meeting, he inquired in detail about the various development works being done by the departments of Jal Shakti, Health, Rural Development, Agriculture and Horticulture, Police, Electricity, Revenue etc. He ordered the Public Works Department to prepare an estimate for the health department offices running in private buildings.
He ordered BMO Shahpur to explore the possibility of opening a civil supplies shop in Shahpur so that the people here could also get medicines at reasonable prices. He asked the health department to strengthen its services so that the people of the area could get good health facilities and they did not have to wander here and there. Pathania while ordering the Block Development Officer said that he should ensure uniform development of every panchayat of Rait development block.
He also took reports from the principals of Shahpur, Darini and Lanj colleges on various activities going on there. He also got information from the Secretary of Nagar Panchayat Shahpur about the facilities being given to the common people in the city. Pathania asked the Forest Department officials to prepare an action plan to develop places like Lamdal, Khabaru Waterfall, and Kareri in Dharkandi area from tourism point of view.
He said that it should be ensured in the government offices of Shahpur that the common man does not have to visit the office again and again, rather the citizen can get his work done easily and conveniently.
