The Belletristic: Shoolini Literature Society organised an enthralling session for literature and history enthusiasts. The guest speaker of the session was Paddy Docherty, and other panellists provided an immersive experience for attendees, offering insightful presentations and engaging discussions that left a lasting impression.
Dr. Purnima Bali, the Head of the Chitrakoot School of Liberal Arts, introduced the speaker, Mr. Paddy Docherty, author of the acclaimed book Blood and Bronze published in 2022. Mr. Paddy Docherty shed light on the Benin Bronzes, highly esteemed artefacts in the British Museum, that embody the history, mythology, and artistry of the ancient Kingdom of Benin, once West Africa’s most powerful, and now part of Nigeria.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Navreet Sahi, who expressed gratitude to the guest speaker, panellists, and attendees for their participation.
